Courage Connection Presents Courage on the Block: A Free Community Celebration Honoring Survivors of Domestic Violence
Courage Connection is proud to host Courage on the Block—a free community celebration honoring local survivors of domestic violence—on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 from 12 PM to 3 PM at The Yard on Broadway (401 N Broadway Ave, Urbana, IL).
This free family-friendly event is open to all and designed to uplift, inspire, and bring neighbors together in a joyful space that celebrates resilience and healing. With food, music, games, and meaningful connection, Courage on the Block is a vibrant expression of community strength.
Highlights of the festivities include:
· Live DJs lifting the mood with good vibes
· Food stipends at the door to enjoy free food from local favorites such as Smith Burger Co, Watson’s Shack and Rail, Fernando’s Tacos & More, Regal Pig Social, Columbia St Café, The Main Scoop, and Public House 1833
· A designated children’s play area with games and family-friendly activities
· A community raffle with prizes for attendees
Additional food and drink options will be available for purchase from participating restaurants inside the venue.
