Courage Connection provides short-term, solution-focused individual, family, and group counseling. Our goal is to reduce the negative impact of domestic violence by addressing safety issues as well as emotional, psychological, and behavioral consequences. Our approach is client-centered and values each person’s autonomy.

Individual, Family, and Group Counseling

Courage Connection provides individual, family, and group counseling. Our goal is to reduce the negative impact of domestic violence by addressing safety issues as well as emotional, psychological, and behavioral consequences. 

Art Therapy

First Monday of the Month: 2-5 pm, Drop-in

Art Therapy is a mental health and human services profession that integrates the creative process of art-making to improve and enrich the well-being of individuals. It can be used in various ways to meet any number of needs, mentally and emotionally.

Childcare will only be available from 2–3:30 pm. Art Therapy will be for adults only from 3:30–5 pm.

**There will be no childcare during the support group.

BRAVE (Building Resilience and Victim Education)

Mondays: 5:30–6:30 pm; 8-week course

This course is designed to meet the needs of domestic violence education and parenting requirements through the court system and DCFS. B.R.A.V.E. educates individuals with various tools and strategies which survivors/victims are able to incorporate into their daily lives. Course materials provide activities that allow the survivors to understand different tactics abusers can use, and the impact it can have on themselves and their children.

Support Group Tuesdays

Tuesdays: 6–7:30 pm

Abusive relationships are complicated. Domestic Violence Support Group focuses on providing education about healthy relationships, abuse dynamics, and encouraging participants to be supportive to one another. Please join us as we share about our experiences, our relationships, and our lives.

Need help but can’t make it in person?
We offer teletherapy.  

Teletherapy is the delivery of healthcare services through secure video chat. It allows you to receive therapy from the comfort of your own home, office, or other remote location.
